Hi, I'm Sarah, and I'm based in the Chicago suburbs of Illinois. I've been sharing my love of aquatics on social media since 2021, starting out as "Sarah's Cichlids" before rebranding to "Sarah's Fish Tanks" as my passion grew beyond cichlids into the wider hobby. My love for aquariums and ocean life goes all the way back to childhood, I was fascinated by sea anemones in science class. Since 2021, I've kept a wide variety of setups including freshwater, saltwater, terrariums, and paludariums, and I have plenty more plans for the future!

About Sarah's setup
There’s something seriously refined about Sarah’s Fish Tanks. It’s a compact, all-in-one system that packs high-end reefing into a clean 45×45×40 cube — small in footprint, but anything but basic.
Two Illumagic Pixels drive the tank: a Fragger and a Reefer working together to deliver full-spectrum coverage, bringing out color, growth, and detail across every inch. Beneath the surface, everything is tightly controlled — a built-in filter roller, UV sterilizer, and carbon keep the water crystal clear and stable.
Daily life in the system is simple but precise. A steady 6ml of All-for-Reef maintains the core elements, with nitrate and manganese added when needed to fine-tune the balance. It’s controlled, intentional reefkeeping — where every input has a purpose.
